Background
Over New Year’s weekend, I was on the last cruise of the Queen of the Mississippi, round trip New Orleans to New Orleans. In February, I was on the first (Lower Mississippi) cruise of the renamed American Heritage, which also had decor, furniture, lounges, dining room, etc. upgraded over the break. As this was my 11th American Cruise Lines cruise, it was also free!
I was on the Lower Mississippi cruise in November 2019 (Memphis to New Orleans), and the New Year’s cruise went from New Orleans to Vicksburg and back, so those webpages may have additional pictures - I tried not to duplicate shore excursions or retake photos where that made sense.
ACL descriptions of the various excursions are on their website, for this and other cruises. Some cruises go both ways, but you can see the planned itinerary for either direction.
The photos on each page are geotagged, so if you care you can see where each was taken, usually to within a few meters. I haven’t edited them in any way. The photos have been size-reduced for the web, but I’d be happy to send you full-size individual photos, or a DVD with all of the photos. I’ve also added a map showing where each day’s photos were taken.
Most of the photos were taken on my iPhone, and a few on my Sony compact camera. The iPhone has a great camera, but sometimes it’s hard to see the screen outdoors, and/or the Sony has 25x optical zoom.
To see the photos for each day, use the links at the top of each page.
